We woke up this morning, rushing about getting ready for church, and never even glanced outside. It wasn't until we were putting on our shoes that we realized our neighborhood was dusted with white powder. We bundled up, and headed out. Our church parking lot, normal bursting at the seams, was practically empty. The roads weren't too bad in the morning, but after church the freezing rain started and things were a bit slick.
Back at home the kids watched the snow and ice fall (and I secretly hoped for a snow day on Monday!).
After lunch began the constant in-and-out stream. Clothes on, outside, back inside, clothes off (now dripping wet, of course), warm up, clothes on, outside... It lasted from until the sun set. It is amazing the entertainment that an inch of snow and a little bit of ice can provide.
There was just enough snow to try out her new skies...
...and do a little sledding with the neighbors.
